Tribe Together CIC is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk who engage with our services, activities, centre and online spaces.

Our principles

We aim to place welfare and safety first; listen and respond to concerns; treat people with dignity and respect; work in an inclusive and person-centred way; share information proportionately when safeguarding requires it; and maintain appropriate safer-working practices.

Raising a concern

Safeguarding concerns connected with Tribe Together can be reported to info@tribetogether.co.uk. Please mark the message Safeguarding Concern. Do not use ordinary email for an emergency.

Responding to concerns

Concerns will be taken seriously, recorded appropriately and escalated according to the circumstances. We may need to share relevant information with statutory agencies without consent where this is necessary and lawful to protect a child or adult at risk.

People working with us

Roles involving regulated activity or safeguarding responsibility will be subject to appropriate recruitment, checks, boundaries, supervision and training according to the role and legal requirements. A DBS check is one part of safer recruitment and is not, by itself, a complete safeguarding process.

Photography, online activity and information

We aim to use appropriate consent, privacy and safeguarding controls for images, communications and online community activity, with particular care where children or adults at risk are involved.

Review

Our operational safeguarding procedures will be reviewed as the centre, activities and digital services develop.
